Shareholder voting behaviours
As part of our meticulous groundwork, Boudicca undertakes a thorough analysis of shareholder voting behaviours. This factors in the different types of shareholdings on the register (institutional, retail, hedge/arbitrage, etc.) and any voting patterns that we can expect from each shareholder type. We review past voting records and consider institutional investors’ usage and dependency on proxy advisers, as well as their individual policies relating to the resolutions being proposed. By studying voting behaviours, we are able to look well ahead and forecast any issue that may rear its head. Importantly, our studies help to guide the shareholder engagement strategy by laying bare likely vote outcome scenarios and requirements for steering votes in the right direction.
